Big Events of the Day!!!

What a day!  We started off the day with Mommy and Michael going to the Easter Celebration at the George Bush Presidential Library.  It was great!  I carried Michael in a Baby Bjorn in front and a backpack (diaper bag/purse) on my back.  Daddy stayed at home mowing the yard and was here for the Big Event students to arrive.  So, Mommy and Michael hunted eggs, then went to Kroger for drinks and ice.  We picked up Pizza's for the Big Event-ers and headed home.  Aunt Ellen was here, then Aunt Katie came by to drop off some plants.  The Big Event students transformed our yard from weed filled into a beautiful yard with several nice gardening areas!  Then they pruned trees and hedges, too!  Aunt Ellen stayed and we made lemonade with our awesome lemons from the Valley.  I made burgers and couscous and we had a great meal in our wonderful backyard.  Did I mention I'm pregnant?  I'm exhausted now.

Michael waiting patiently to hunt eggs.  There were so many people!  Many kiddos were crying.  Couldn't stand the suspense of being so close and not allowed to touch until the fire engine said, "go!"
One egg

Two Eggs!
Three eggs, and that one at the top was our fourth egg!  Michael picked up and put in his basket 4 eggs before they were all taken.  We played fair.  Some parents just held their baby like a football and picked up eggs for them....cheaters.

Eggs are fun!

We already spread some seeds!  I hope they weren't too old!

Thanks to the great Geology students!!

Soon to be Big Brother

That's right, Michael's going to be a big brother!  The due date's sometime in late September (if this baby is like Michael) or early October.  We're doing fine and Mommy feels fine (other than hungry).

Here's also a ticker, so you can track my progress, if you're interested in that sort of thing.  :)

Easter Window Decals

Gee Wee gave us these decals.  Michael likes them....likes wearing them as hairpieces.....likes stacking them in interesting ways.  :)  Then he played himself out and decided that the door mat was a nice resting place.

The he said, "Hey Ma!  How could you let me get around with this thing on my head?!"

Here it is!!
Obviously, it looks better here on my shirt!

Sleepy Baby

Michael was laying down on the floor when he was tired.  Just all of a sudden lying on the floor singing to himself.  I showed him this pillow and laid him on it once, and now he'll go to it and put his head down.  :)  So sweet!

First Major Haircut

I couldn't bear to take him somewhere for fear he'd lose his "baby" look, so we did it ourselves. Here's the result.

Before....the "almost" mullet.

After...Cleaned up and still a baby.

Yes, I kept the hair....there was enough for a curl!

Had to throw this in....Look how pretty!

Infant Cognition Lab "Graduation"

Today, Michael visited the Texas A&M University Infant Cognition Lab for the last time.  Aw...but what fun.  While mommy was filling out paperwork, he played with the college students and this really big CareBear.  He had so much fun and received alot of "oh he's so good!" and "he's so cute!" and "is he this happy all the time?" kind of comments.

This picture was shot by one of the research students.  I thought it was amazing how it caught his reflection.  :)
