That was with a hug after she played tickle games with him on our bed.

My laundry helper
Yesterday, Jane helped me with the laundry. She really is a good helper. Here's what Jane can do:
*pull laundry out if the dryer and put it in the hamper,
*take the wet laundry I hand her from the washer and put it in the dryer,
*shut the dryer door (George is a big helper with this, too),
*PUSH the full hamper into another room,
Then she usually 'helps' me by talking to me while I sort & fold. Sometimes she would say she's folding a cloth diaper. This would involve folding it a little, then rolling it up like a jelly roll. Sometimes she can take a stack of clothes to her room & put them in her drawer.
Yesterday, she wanted to help fold. I gave her a washrag and she folded it perfectly. So I gave her another and she did it again. She folded all the washrags in the load! She also stacked them beautifully and handed the stack to me. Then she wanted to do it again. So I opened them all and gave them to her. She folded them all again. Here's a picture I took after the second folding.
See that beautiful stack??? That's my girl!!

Things I've said to the kids
To Jane in reference to Michael when they were both on my bed in what was supposed to be quiet time: "Do NOT feed your boogers to your brother!"
To Michael in the grocery store shopping cart: "Don't sit on the watermelon."
I know there are more, but I can't remember right now.

The cigaret crewel kit
This crewel kit was obtained by someone who smoked. As seen on the package, you could get 2 more kits for only $1 plus two labels from more cigarette packages.
This is one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a while. Because everyone who smokes wants to stitch, right? Or was this cigarette geared more to crafty people in general?
Either way, I had fun stitching it on our drive to Dallas. I don't think I'd smoke 2 packs just to get more, but this one was fun.

Vacation week
Tony took the week off. Yeah!!!!
This afternoon we went to a little park. Michael had some bicycle riding time.
Jane skipped nap.....until we got back home. She ate yogurt then fell asleep on the table.

George blanket
I know this might be hard to see, but this is George. He has to have a blanket with him when we nurse in his room. Then he pulls it up over his face. If I peek at him, he pulls it back over his face. Under there he is sleep nursing.

My flower pot
After making several amiguri animals for the kids, I finally did one or myself. I found this pattern on the lion brand yarn app (also available on their website, awesome awesome website).
I worked the flowers with a slightly smaller hook than the pot and lid. Most flowers are purple or blue, but there are 3 individual flowers in 3 additional colors. I also added a little bit of embroidery with some long tails I had for the leaves. If you look close there are some lazy daisies and a few stems.
I had to stop myself early with this. An artist once told me that when painting he stopped just before he thought he was finished. Usually it's those last touches that puts a piece over the top. So I stopped before I had filled in all the empty space with embroidery stitches and there is maybe a space or two where another leaf could be added. But I showed it to tony and said, "I think I should stop myself." He agreed.
Then I 'signed' it with my initials & date on the bottom.
Jane loves it. I think I'll have to fight her for it.
