I was almost panicking at the thought of our family getting sick over the holiday. Only one has an ear infection, I'm a little congested, no one else is really ill. The kids all just got through some fevers relatively easy. But still, I worried.
While still trying to convince myself that everything's ok and I'm just freaking out, Tony says "we can deal with it" in reference to something completely different (but still substantial...if someone pooped in the tub). But then I thought, that should be our mantra. Our supportive "we can do anything" kind of emotional support to each other.
I told Tony. We should keep saying it to each other. I know it's simple and we've probably said it a million times, but for some reason it really resonated with me tonight.
Stomach bug, we can deal with it.
Fevers, we can deal with it.
Financial strain, we can deal with it.
Pregnancy woes, we can deal with it.
Together, we can deal with it.
